When compared to a traditional classic guitar, the Yamaha SLG200N Silent Guitar comes with a number of benefits. Since it doesn't have a resonance chamber, it's much less sensitive to feedback during shows. Incredibly portable, this guitar even has a removable side so you can not only make it more compact but lighter as needed. The SGL200N comes equipped with a chromatic tuner, two types of reverb and a chorus effect. Using the line input, AUX input and headphone jack, you can play any way you'd like and Yamaha even include two batteries, stereo earphones and a deluxe carrying bag.

The GL-G200N: SRT Powered System

To give the chamber-less GL200N the same resonance as a traditional classical guitar, Yamaha developed a special system and recorded the sound of a high-end acoustic Yamaha guitar in a professional recording studio. This so-called SRT Powered System gives guitarists the chance to experience the unmistakable sound and feel of a more conventional acoustic guitar and offers the ability to mix its sound with the natural tone picked up by the fitted piezo pickup. Not only is there nothing stopping you from a little creative experimentation, you'll never have to fumble with external microphones during shows or recordings again.

Practical and Comfortable

With the SLG200 Series, the Yamaha Design Laboratory aims to combine the elegant contours of a classical guitar with modern playability. As such, the side of this SLG200N model is removable to make it much lighter and many times more compact than a standard guitar. This, along with a relatively thin body, gives the Silent Guitar the same level of playing comfort as an electric guitar. What's more, its solid body and dual-action truss rod ensure full stability and lasting durability and, since a deluxe carrying bag comes included, you can take this unique Yamaha guitar anywhere you want without a worry in the world.
